Button Bush
Early July

This 4-foot-tall clump appears to have various stages of bud to bloom to fruit in mid-July.
The buds are tight green balls (left) that develop into fuzzy white "pom-pon" balls (below).
The white hairs turn brown and fall away, revealing the more mature tight green ball (bottom) by end of July.
